The MCM Department and Media Club presents The Al Shakoor Award annually to recognize outstanding figures and organizations who have made significant contributions to society. For THE SCRIPT, The Al Shakoor award celebrates “Lifetime Achievements in the Field of Theatrical Arts.”

THE SCRIPT is organized by the Mass Communication and Media Department, along with the student-led Media Club, at the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST). THE SCRIPT includes a range of events related to Radio, TV, Film and Theatre in Kuwait, such as a lifetime achievement award, talks by local filmmakers, short-film screenings, public lectures and workshops.
